Since opening our doors on Memorial Day 1938, Soldiers Memorial has always served as a public space to remember St. Louisans who made the supreme sacrifice. Alt...hough we're not hosting a public Memorial Day ceremony this year, we're still paying tribute to St. Louis's brave men and women through a three-part video series. This short series reflects on the history of Soldiers Memorial, its Court of Honor and the lives of those remembered here. Today's video looks at the Cenotaph and story and sacrifice of US Army Nurse Edith Mae Ferguson. It also examines the three main components of the Court of Honor and shares the story of Coast Guardsman Charles Pogorzelski.
