Not what I expected after answering the questions but it feels right! May I give and receive comfort in 2021

So often I find my thoughts take me away from the present moment. Even when the present moment is joyful. Crazy!? Maybe. Normal? Yes. ... We are so conditioned and programmed to be focused on anticipating and planning for the NEXT moment that we miss the joy in THIS moment. That awareness of living in the next moment was really present for me when I was floating on a river with my husband recently. It was a gorgeous, sunny day and we had the whole river to ourselves. But I kept noticing my mind wandering. Annoyingly it kept kicking into planning gear. So I decided to play a game. Anytime I noticed my mind wandering, I would say to myself (sometimes out loud!), BE HERE NOW. Over and over I said it (without getting irritated at my brain for not cooperating the first 10 - or maybe 100?- times!) I didn’t achieve perfection or nirvana, but I did notice I had more moments of being fully present with - the sun sparkling on the water, the leaves floating carelessly in the wind, the many sounds of the birds. Those moments were precious and divine. And, it really filled me up. My brain and body felt more relaxed and refreshed than it had in months. What would it be like to play with it today and see if it makes a difference for you?

Pause and breathe.....that is enough today.
