The Little Tots School House

Despite the cold temperatures and snowy weather, we had some pretty excited preschoolers and some pretty awesome Valentine’s boxes, for their Valentine’s Party! They enjoyed seeing each other and catching up after another long weekend! Also giving Valentines and receiving Valentines, pizza party and some fun games! Thanks to all the parents to help make all this happen for them! Hope you all have a warm and cozy Valentine’s Weekend!

January was a crazy month with the snow week we had but we still had some chilling learning adventures as we headed back to school for 2021! Lots of letter recognition with our ice fishing, alphabots, and snow balls! Dramatic play going on with our ice skating rink and concession stand/coffee shop. Building habitats for our polar animals. Many fun games, puzzles and challenges with our friends. We will wrap up tomorrow with our polar pajama day that we missed last week!

Well January sure went fast!! We had so much fun learning all about polar animals, snow painting, iceberg exploration, ice fishing, and making ice cream out of snow!!

It was a great first week back with the 4&5 year olds after winter break! We are starting our year out learning about the cold winter months, the Arctic in the North Pole and Antarctica in the South Pole. We have explored the globe to find the two poles and found the equator in the middle that separates the two hemispheres. The AM class learned about many different penguins today. They created their very own with an assortment of collage items of their choice and named them. They all did a great job getting their creative juices flowing. The PM class did story recalling on Sneezy The Snowman. If you look up on YouTube you can listen as family and let your child recall what their picture was about from the book. It’s definitely a cute and fun story to listen to!
