Little Blue and the sim are ok!!! There was major storm damage at the airport from the storms that moved through our area around 8pm last night. Please keep all our fellow aviators in your thoughts, lots of damaged airplanes and broken hearted pilots but thankfully there were no injuries!!!
Hi Everyone! If you are IFR current then perhaps you have been getting considerable actual IMC experience lately. But if you feel like you are not quite up to these conditions or are in need of the required approaches, we can knock them out quite easily in the simulator! Over the last two weeks we have made several improvements. First, the firmware upgrades have restored the delightful "feel" on the control stick, especially in pitch. The dynamic control loading is ful...ly funcional. You can now see the aircraft symbol on your IPAD using Foreflight or any other App that supports it. You log in to the "TENDA" wifi in settings like any other wifi. When prompted, the password is the numbers 1-8. you will then get another login screen. Don't re-enter the password, tap cancel in the upper right corner of the box and select: Don't use internet. Once its working you will never have to do that process again, it will auto connect. Call me if you have any issues. (913) 226-7199 Thanks! Matt

Happy Holidays! After a beautiful fall, it appears that old man winter is just around the corner. For pilots, this means we must be thinking about how winter affects the safety of flight operations. In the coming weeks I will be offering my blog on our website. I plan to reach out to all of you by offering my thoughts about how to stay safe this winter. This is icing season for most of the country and all pilots but especially instrument rated pilots need to get their p...lan together about how to avoid getting into trouble when icing is a very real threat to your airplane. Like so many of the weather related hazards, avoidance is the best strategy, but my question for you to ponder is: Have you ever experienced in flight icing? If yes, how well prepared were you and how did it play out? And if no, is there any way to train for how the aircraft responds and what your actions should be? I've been instrument rated for 41 years and have had two very memorable icing encounters that can still raise the hair on the back of my neck, it's no fun at all and looking back, I only had a few suggestions for what to do from my own training back then. Maybe I was lucky, maybe I had good skills, but I sure wasn't trained for it. We can change that by utilizing the simulator and running inflight scenarios designed to test all your skills when it really counts. Your family and your passengers are depending on you, the PIC to get them safely back on the ground. Are you ready? Our DCX MAX simulator can dramatically increase your knowledge in a controlled but safe environment. Call or visit the website today! Matt Miller 913-226-7199 See more
