THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE Christmas time is fast approaching! Are you looking for the perfect gift to a young child, perhaps your grandchild? Let me introduce you to Lionel’s relatively new (2012) addition to their lineup of starter train sets for children. Thomas The Tank Engine has created an interest in model trains in thousands of children since its introduction. The set consists of the well recognized blue and white, happy faced 0-6-0 locomotive pulling two classic wooden style passenger cars. Watch his eyes move in the attached video. Powered by a small powerpack, the train is controlled by a Lionchief handheld remote control; perfect for children growing up in this push button era. The train runs on a circle of Super O track included in the set. Additional Percy and James Lion Chief locomotives are also available.
You can buy Thomas the Tank Engine set from any Lionel dealer. The Lionel Club has two sets available.
Come visit with club members at Denny's Restaurants on Tuesday evenings: August 11 at Cave Springs and August 25 at Belle-Clair/Belleville. Also at the Jewish Center located at Schuetz Rd and Lindbergh Blvd on Sunday Aug 30. CLB
