USDA’s January reports are often and market moving reports and that was certainly the case for January 2021. USDA made an historic downward revision to the U.S. corn crop from November to January. Soybean production also fell with projected ending stocks tightening even further from last month. While winter wheat acreage edged up slightly from a year ago, wheat prices moved up sharply following steep gains in corn and soybean prices.
