Congratulations to Madison Mccanless, the newest Sweeny Elementary Tiger! Madison will serve as an elementary counselor for the Republic School District starting in the 2021-22 school year. Way to go Madison!

Hope you all have a great extended weekend! Greater MO Extended Sites will be closed Thursday, April 1st and Friday, April 2nd.

Did you know you do not have to be a teacher to become a school counselor? Several of our grads have been successful in school counseling with undergrad degrees of psychology, social work, criminal justice, early childhood as well as others. Of course teachers make up the majority of our school counselors. LU offers a 48 hr masters program for those with a teaching degree. Those without, will take an additional 9 hours. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Jake Kloeppel to the LU doctorate family. Dr. Kloeppel, the Middle School Prinicpal at Waynesville School District completed his dissertation on " Behavioral Motivation of High School Leadership Organizations," and received his degree on January 8th, 2021. Congratulations!

Congratulations to Dr. Jeremy Brownfield, High School Principal Ozark Schools. "The Effects of Principal Feedback on Instruction and Student Achievement," was his dissertation topic. Dr. Shelly Fransen served as his chair.

You still have time! We are registering for the spring and summer semesters. Spring semester starts Tuesday, January 19th and ends Friday, May 7th, 2021. Summer semester starts May 17th. Classes for Psy. Examiner certificate, MA in school counseling and school administration. Specialist and doctoral options are available too. Start the new year with a new future!
