Congratulations to Mary Knighten, who is back home now after respiratory illness left her unable to take care of herself or get around. Our rehabilitation department helped get her back on her feet. Mary has congestive heart failure and COPD, and she came to us following a bout with pneumonia. It was a very special experience since I had worked in rehab myself, Mary shared. The girls were sensitive and caring and very patient. I won’t forget the time I spent in their care.

This week, we celebrate and thank our activity professionals. These Champions of Care work incredibly hard with great diligence to keep our residents active, entertained and in touch with their families and friends. Thank you!

Congratulations to Porter Brewer, who recently returned home after rehabilitation with us following respiratory failure with hypoxia as a result of the virus. I would not have been able to walk or breathe right without therapy’s help, Porter shared.
