Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Liberty Missouri Stake, This last Sunday, in four special sessions of Sacrament Meeting, changes were made to the Liberty and Bennett Park ward boundaries and, consequently, bishoprics. Bishop Brent Johnston had served diligently for 5 years as Bishop of the Bennett Park ward. He is being replaced by Bishop Ryan Wheeler (formerly Bishop of the Liberty ward) who resides in the newly aligned Bennett Park boundaries. Additionally, the name of the... Bennett Park ward was changed to the Rush Creek Ward which has ties to church history. Here is a recap of the changes that were made to both Bishoprics: Liberty Ward Released: Bishop - Ryan Wheeler 1st Counselor - Paul Farnsworth 2nd Counselor - Sean Minniear Called: Bishop - Kirk Sanford 1st Counselor - Paul Farnsworth 2nd Counselor - Sean Minniear Rush Creek Ward (renamed from Bennett Park Ward) Released: Bishop - Brent Johnston 1st Counselor - Paul Gale 2nd Counselor - Mike Shannon Called: Bishop - Ryan Wheeler 1st Counselor - Sadoc Muñoz 2nd Counselor - Nathan MacDonald The new boundary between the two wards is as follows: - North on 291 Highway until Leonard Street - North on Leonard Street to Mill Street - West on Mill Street as it turns into Sunset Avenue then turn on Forest Lane - Forest Lane Northwest to Ridge Avenue - North on Ridge Avenue as it turns into Woodridge Lane and on to Nashua Road - Nashua Road West directly to I-35 Sincerely, President Michael Beach President Rodolfo Garcia President Jeffrey Barnes
