Let's be clear: cases of breast cancer among younger women are on the rise. The American College of Radiology, Society of Breast Imaging, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists - ACOG and more support the recommendation that women start receiving annual mammograms at age 40. News stories and organizations that insinuate mammography is not needed until age 50, or needed only every two years, are misleading at best.
