Let's Elect Zac Burden 20.01.2021

Please vote today. I'm casting my ballot in the Kirksville City Council election for Chuck Long and Rick Steele. I would appreciate if you would as well and ask others in Kirksville to join you in doing the same. Local elections matter. Thank you

I'm voting for Chuck Long and Rick Steele because I like how we disagree. We often don't see eye to eye on issues, and that's OK. Over conversation in study sessions and debate at meetings, we find a way to talk through matters and make decisions. That's one of the fundamentals of what governing is: bringing together various points of view and creating solutions. The other candidates in this race view disagreement with them as personal disrespect and even conspiracy. I'd pref...er having council members that can embrace disagreement and work through it positively. That's why I'm voting for Rick Steele and Chuck Long on Tuesday. I like the way I can argue with these two and still know we're all fighting for the people of Kirksville. I hope you'll make a plan to vote this week and support these two candidates. Take care and best wishes, and thank you for your continued support. It's my honor to work for you.

Local elections matter. That's why I am counting on you to vote on Tuesday, June 2. Though I'm not on the ballot this year, I would appreciate your support for Chuck Long and Rick Steele. These two candidates have my backing and are ready to serve. Be safe when you go to vote. I'll be wearing my mask and washing my hands before and after voting. You can follow the same easy steps to protect your health and that of other voters. If you need to consider early voting, talk with the Adair County Clerk's office at 660-665-3350. No need to let COVID stop you from voting in this important election. Find a path to the ballot box that works for your health needs. As I always, I value serving this community and appreciate your continued support.

Friends, can you help me out with three things for the upcoming Kirksville City Council election on Tuesday, June 2? 1. Make sure you vote! 2. Know who you are going to vote for (I’ll share below which candidates will get my votes)! 3. Know how to vote safely!... 1. Municipal elections are important. While the presidential election is always a big deal, deciding which people are in office locally is equally if not more important. COVID has made life (insert your own adjective here) as of late, but please remember to make voting a priority, even in these strange times. 2. I am voting for Chuck Long and Rick Steele. It’s not just that I have serious concerns about the other candidates. I do, and I would be happy to talk with you one-on-one about those serious concerns. More important is that I am very excited to keep working with Chuck and Rick for the people of Kirksville. They are excellent partners to work with, represent our constituents well, and offer unique voices on the dais. I would appreciate if you would both lend your support to Chuck and Rick and share that support with other voters you know. This is an important election. 3. When you go to vote, have a plan to ensure your safety. If that means bringing hand sanitizer, wearing a mask, and washing your hands before and after, do those things. You can contact the Adair County Clerk’s office (660-665-3350) to learn what steps are being taken to ensure your safety at the ballot. You can also learn about early voting to see if that is an option for you. Please vote, and please find a way to do so that helps you feel safe while you do it. I appreciate your continued support and am proud to work for all that live here. Thank you for taking seriously your responsibilities as a citizen in our community!

Hey folks, if you haven't started following my in-office account Mayor Zac Burden, be sure to. I've got a post up looking for people around town who can host me for lawn chair meetings in their neighborhoods. Take a look! Hope you are well today.
