Looking for a New Year’s Resolution you should keep? Make sure you are staying hydrated, preferably with water and your main source of hydration. There is no science behind the claim that everyone needs to drink 8 8 oz glasses of water a day. Instead, I tell people to check in with 2 areas to decide if they are properly hydrated. ... Start paying attention to if you are thirsty. Drink if you are thirsty. 2. Use the color of your pee as an indicator of your hydration level. Other than the first pee of the morning which is a brighter yellow, your pee should be a pale yellow color. Now, unfortunately, there are certain supplements and vitamins that do alter the color of your pee, so this indicator may not always work.
