Exercise is one of the most important things to do in life and it is one of the most important things to do for your health. At the start of every class every...one gets in their exercise. Beginners start off with basic exercise. Intermediate students do more, advanced students do more and Black Sashes do more. Then in sparring class focuses heavily on the endurance side of things so there is of course a lot of exercise in that class. Everything is based on where you are at in the curriculum. The main focus is to get yourself in shape. Why? For overall health and for the ability to be able to defend yourself when you have to. People think that diet alone will do the trick but there's a lot more to it than that and in martial arts you absolutely have to be in shape to be able to handle yourself in a situation with more than one attacker. There's no 2 ways around it.

Virtual Dummy Form There are limitations on the learning of the dummy form, particularly for those who do not have a dummy at home. Also, the dummy itself post...ed a constraint on the one practicing as the dummy does not move sideways. Also, with a group, students might not be able to see the details. Such limitations, although could be overcome partly with videos, still not perfect. One way to overcome such was by practicing the dummy form with a non-existing dummy. May be some computer expert could do a Virtual Reality Dummy. Of course, it is useless just to live in the Virtual Reality World, but it helps.
