In honor of #tbt we have a fill in the blank for all of our previously enrolled parents of The Learning Gardens. "My best memory of TLG was........"

Okay parents of past and present kiddos, Saturday, August 23rd is our last family field trip to Deanna Rose Farm. Cost is $2 per person, 2 and under free. With it being hot I would like to meet around 10am. No outside food or drinks allowed in farmstead, but they have places outside that you can sit if you want to bring your lunch. Who would like to join us on Saturday so I have an accurate headcount? It should be fun!

We will be having our annual garage sale fundraiser this weekend too...it's a busy time of year! If anyone has things to donate call or email Theresa and she will pick it up! Next on the list?? Buying our new outdoor climber! :)

Parents, would you and your family like to learn more about Shatto Milk Company? Come join us for another family field trip on Saturday, August 9th @ 10am. We will be taking a tour and learning how it is the only local family owned dairy farm that milks its own cows, bottles that milk on the farm, and delivers that milk to select stores in the Kansas City and St. Joseph areas. Cost is $5 per person; children 2 and under are free.

Do you have little hands that like to unbuckle their seatbelt? This site has the best trick to prevent that plus a few more good tips!

Come join us for a Learning Gardens Day at the Kansas City Zoo, Saturday July 12th. There is no cost for this adventure. We will meet at the entrance around 9:30- 9:45 am. The Kansas City Zoo staff will be putting on a program for us @ 10 am. Please let a Learning Gardens Teacher know if your family will be attending so we have an accurate count of all attending (children/adults). It should be a blast!

Reminder parents that Friday, June 20th is a Water Day! Please be sure to bring a swimsuit/swim trunks, towel, and water shoes (if possible) in a plastic bag with child's name on it to school. We will change child into into swim gear when time to go out and play. Also bring sunscreen for child if you haven't already done so and want your child to use it, we are not allowed to provide sunscreen anymore. It should be a wonderful fun activity for the kids to enjoy!

Parents remember that The Learning Gardens will be closed on Friday, July 4th for Independence Day.

Parents, we are going to plan for celebrating our Music Program and Graduation at Sports City, starting at 11am (meet us downstairs in the party room). We are working hard to make this happy time of the year go off without a hitch! Please plan to bring your side dish and we will provide hot dogs and buns! See you there!
