Please keep our disaster response volunteers in your prayers over the coming weeks as they continue to respond to tornadoes across Alabama. Our teams are focused on doing the high skill jobs that most home owners and neighbors are not capable of doing. Everything we do is free of charge to home owners and done in the name of Christ.

Almighty and most merciful God, though your beloved Son Jesus Christ, You reign over the heavens and the earth. As storms rage, and the waters rise, we turn to You, asking for your mercy and protection. We pray that this hurricane will not cause injury or loss. We trust in your unfailing love and ask that, whatever befalls us, You grant us the wisdom to worship you and serve our neighbor in Your love. In Jesus name. Amen.

Remember, heavenly Father, all those in peril from the path of hurricane Delta. Have mercy and grant them Your saving peace. Bless the last-minute preparations of the government and relief agencies that many lives may be spared. Make Your people's confidence in Your unfailing love be a shining light among those who do not know You that they may also take refuge in Your comfort in this time of distress. We ask it all in the holy name of Jesus. Amen.

Hurricane Delta continues to pose danger to the U.S. Gulf Coast late this week, with threats of storm-surge flooding, damaging winds and heavy rainfall. Residents from the extreme upper Texas coast and Louisiana to the western Florida Panhandle should be checking frequently for important forecast updates and have their hurricane plans ready to go.
