Do you have the right of privacy to the data on your FitBit like you do on your cell phone? The police must obtain a search warrant to obtain data from your cell phone. Recently a woman in Pennsylvania reported a rape to the police. When the police requested data from her digital tracker, she gave them access to it. Parenthood is like a corporation. Its sole assets are the children. The parents comprise the board of directors which govern the corporation. The duty of the board of directors is to preserve the assets of the corporation. If the assets are allowed to dissipate, the corporation will fold. A court in New York has permitted a wife to have her husband served by Facebook in a divorce case. The wife had tried unsuccessfully to locate her husband, but did not know where he lived or worked. Consequently, he could not be served by personal service, substitute service (giving the petition to an adult at his residence or workplace), or by the method known as nail and mail (affixing the summons to the door of his residence or workplace or mailing the summons to his residence or workplace). This article in the New York Times is a very good read if you are considering a prenuptial agreement Remember that it is a good idea to discuss this idea well in advance of the wedding ceremony. If you are the one requesting the prenuptial agreement, have an attorney draft it. Both parties should consult his or her own attorney to review the prenuptial agreement.

To be considered a whistleblower under the False Claims Act, a person or group must have original knowledge of the fraudulent behavior. This is an interesting article about a whistleblower that did not meet that requirement.
