In Missouri you do not have to be driving on a public road in order to be convicted of DWI. In Williams vs Director of Revenue issued October 21, 2014 the Eastern District Court of Appeals decreed that Williams could be convicted of DWI even though Williams was driving on a private lane.

Always keep private items that you don't want others to see out of sight. This goes for anything you don't want police to observe. The "Plain View" doctrine holds that police do not need a search warrant or your permission in order to confiscate any illegal items that are in "plain view".

New provision in DWI law allows you to obtain a hardship driving privilege immediately after blowing over the limit instead of serving first 30 days of suspension without driving. You must be willing to install an ignition interlock device for the full 90 days of the suspension
