If driving to Macon or Kirksville is keeping you from getting the COVID vaccine please let us know. The La Plata Christian Church is looking to partner with the Macon County Health Department to provide COVID vaccinations in town to those that can not travel. Now is the time to put your faith into action by helping distribute food in our community. We have a place for you in one of the three food distribution shifts this week. Thursday from 9a-12p Thursday from 5-7p Friday from 9a-12p... Come and show God's love in a practical way here in La Plata!

Don't forget, there is a Camp Como meeting for parents/students tonight at 7:00pm at Countryside Christian Church. You can check out the events tab on our church page for some details (including dates/grades) about camp and how to register. If, for some reason, you can't make it to the meeting, get in touch with me (Tyler Hanson) and I'll get you connected. Youth group tonight will be 6:00-6:30pm in order to have time to get to that meeting.

We hope you'll join us in celebrating Easter with us tomorrow! Following our Community Easter Sunrise Service (beginning at 6:30am), we will have donuts available as you go about your morning. Any donuts that remain will continue to be available before worship at 9:40am. We simply ask that you would arrive a bit early to enjoy your donut as it becomes quite difficult to sing with a mouthful of deliciousness. We hope to see you there!

After his triumphal entry into Jerusalem, Jesus went into the temple and caused quite a scene. He turned over the tables of the moneychangers, making a statement in the temple courts, saying, My house will be a house of prayer." The people had heard this message before, but over time, lost sight of what was truly important. Over the past few weeks, our youth group has focused on the power of undistracted, intentional prayer. As we continue to make our way through Holy Week, from a king's welcome on Palm Sunday, to the agony of the cross on Good Friday, we invite the entire church and all believers to join us in our return to real, honest, vulnerable prayer. Let us pray without ceasing.

Tomorrow is Palm Sunday! Parents, don't forget to bring your kiddos to church a bit early (like 9:30am) so we can get ready to kick off worship with a triumphal entry full of smiles, palms, and praise! Hosanna in the highest heaven!
