Department numbers for the week of December 6-13: Dispatched calls 145 Reports 16 Car stops -13... DWI/DWI-D - 1 Drugs - 5 Misc. Arrests 11 Pedestrian/Bicycle Checks - 6 Business and residential checks 123 12/8/20 During a traffic stop at 12th and Cherry, the odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle. Subject was issued a summons for possession of marijuana. 12/11/10 A theft of a kayak in the 200 block of W. 16th was taken. Investigation continues. 12/12/20 Traffic Stop for failure to stop at stop sign. During the stop, the odor of marijuana was smelled. Marijuana pipe was located. Arrest made and charges pending. 12/12/20 Traffic Stop for turn signal violation. Search was conducted and officer located meth, marijuana, marijuana pipe, and meth pipe. Arrest made and chargers pending. 12/13/20 Motor Vehicle Crash, Driver jumped out of moving truck and it ran into the sign at Pete’s Convenience Store. Subject was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Drugs. 12/13/20 Traffic Stop for turn signal violation. A search was made and officer found meth and meth pipe. Sarah Davis has worked part time as the departments Nuisance Abatement Officer while attending Missouri Southern Police Academy full time for the past several months. Today is Sarah’s last day of the academy as she has successfully completed the training. Due to Covid, there will not be a graduation ceremony. We are proud of Sarah’s accomplishments and are looking forward to her working as a police officer for the City of Lamar

Department numbers for the week of November 29-December 5: Dispatched calls 146 Reports 24 Car stops -13... DWI/DWI-D - 0 Drugs - 2 Misc. Arrests 3 Pedestrian/Bicycle Checks - 2 Business and residential checks 201 11//29/2020 During a traffic stop in the Lamar City Park, a citation was issued to one subject for possession of drug paraphernalia. 11/30/2020 Investigated a violation of an ex parte. Report was submitted to prosecuting attorney for charges. 12/01/2020 During a traffic stop at 12th & Gulf, one subject was located in reference to a warrant. Narcotics were located during a search. 12/3/2020 A theft of a package from a porch in the 1300 block of Parry was reported. Investigation continues. 12/4/2020 A traffic stop was made in the 1200 block of E. 17th St. One subject was transported to the Barton County Jail and charged with Driving While Revoked, C & I driving and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. The municipal court scheduled on December 8th is canceled. The cases scheduled for that day will be held on January 13th.
