Beautiful Wednesday on the Bull. We just returned from a short soul reset and couldn't let a chance to boat on a gorgeous day pass by!
Pool buttoned down for winter! Hit a record of lost treasures found in one day by the dock shore. 2020 was tough on goggles Gorgeous Friday evening.... Soaking up bare toes before sock weather gets here.... Happy weekend to you and yours!
Hey Mike got to spend some time yesterday with a former brother in blue.... (Stolen from his page).... Well, my buddy Matt SB took me fishing today. First time fishing for me this year and I live on this lake!!!! But, I really like having a guide, fishing with a good friend, and a nice boat to ride in. 31 lbs on a crappie rod on an 1/8th ounce grub. Then we actually caught some crappie! I guess I was in charge of removing the "bully" from the brush pile.
Day #2 (Wednesday), local 73 St. Louis firefighters, proved equally difficult with high skies and afternoon wind gusting upwards of 30mph. No shortage of laughter and a 2 day total for 17 boats nearing #180. Until next year, stay safe guys!!
Beautiful morning for day #1 send off for local 73 St. Louis firefighters tourney. Rescheduled from spring 2020. Good luck today guys!!
Perfect Saturday evening
Lovely Wednesday afternoon boat ride after winterizing the pool. Bluffs, changing leaves, nice visit with Al & Diane(Pinders), high skies and legend fishermen (87 & 82!!)... Happy Thursday morning everyone.
Hey Mike just loves to see the UPS truck with a bunch of boxes stolen from his Facebook page post... Afternoon project completed! Assembled all of these chairs for the Resort. I dislike putting furniture together very much! -Mike
Slower pace, cool morning, gorgeous start to Tuesday
Lake level around the 667 mark and going down slowly. After what seemed like weeks of wind, last evening's calm was welcome and needed to get the dock pushed out. Such a pretty evening, hey Mike conceded to an evening tritoon cruise....as only his luck would have it we ended up repairing one of the junctions for the electric instead. So, you'll have to settle for shoreline pictures, the leaves are starting to change with the cooler temps. It's fall y'all!
Pretty bluebird skies and a boat ride yesterday. Bluffs & shoreline turn gold with the sunshine, fall temps are coming soon! Water level headed to seasonal pool... That means dock moving. These two lucky kids were thrilled to have this after school project.
Something I've learned in 6 years of living within 200ft of a lake is: Don't let lake glass go unappreciated As much as my mind kept saying... Keep sitting slug...I knew the paddleboard was a must for me today.... I was almost across the cove when I realized I was still heavy with stress and worry. I closed my eyes, visualized it all running off me, sinking to the bottom. I opened my eyes in time to see an eagle fly within 50 feet of the board about 15 feet off the water. About 20 seconds behind it was a juvenile eagle so close I could hear the air in it's feathers with each flap of it's wings. What a gift!!! I needed that experience to carry me through this day wow wow wow so majestic!!
