The snow can’t stop us today. We’re excited to be back in the office today and to see all of our wonderful patients.

With the safety of everyone in mind we have decided that it is best to close today, Tuesday 2/16/21 and Wednesday 2/17/21. To help accommodate the change in hours we will be open on Friday 2/19/21 and Saturday 2/20/21. Our staff is working hard to contact each patient affected. With the worsening weather, LaFerla Ortho has made the decision to close the office tomorrow (February 15). We will be calling all the patients to reschedule. We are sorry for any inconvenience but the very low temperatures as well as the growing snow accumulation make this the safest option for patients and our team members many of which travel a significant distance. We are THRILLED to partner with the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Missouri to bring attention to this WONDERFUL organization & the children they serve in our community! We are excited to announce a new addition to the LaFerla Ortho team. Dr. Kyle Wilson will be returning home to Joplin and joining our team in January. Dr. Wilson (brother of Joplin Pediatric Dentistry’s Dr. Brett Wilson) grew up in Joplin and graduated from Joplin High School. He played both basketball and baseball and was part of the State Championship Eagles baseball team. He went on to attend the University of Missouri for his Bachelor’s degree, followed by the Univers...ity of Missouri-Kansas City for dental school before being commissioned as an Officer in the Army with an assignment at Fort Hood, TX. After an overseas deployment, he attended his orthodontics residency at the University of Louisville from 2011-2014. While practicing orthodontics, he achieved the rank of Major and was honorably discharged in 2018. Since that time, he has been practicing orthodontics in McKinney, TX. Dr. Wilson has been a friend of Dr. LaFerla’s and our practice for many years and even used to job shadow Dr. LaFerla in his younger days. We are thrilled to partner with him in creating beautiful smiles for the Four-States community. Welcome home, Dr. Wilson!
