OVERVIEW This position is an on-call, as needed position. Substitutes will be replacing a teacher in his/her absence at various grade levels at either campus. French fluency required; native/near native proficiency. RESPONSIBILITIES... - Implement curriculum in accordance with teacher’s instructions. - Keep accurate attendance for the day. - Positive classroom management. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Provide DESE substitute certificate (must have at least 60 college credit hours), or valid certificate of license under Missouri law, provisional or professional, or proof of certification from the country of origin. (Please inquire for questions and assistance.) - All teachers must have a true liking for children, and a concern for their welfare and best interests. - Provide recent background check or be willing to have background information researched for appropriate background clearance. Reminder! Monday, November 30 is no school for K-9 students. It is a work day for teachers. Tuesday 12/1 to Friday 12/4 will be virtual for K-8. 9th grade will continue in person on December 1. K-1 students will follow the online schedule (small groups) from Phase 1. Your homeroom teacher will share the schedule and meet links.... 2nd-5th students will follow the current Phase 2 schedule BUT there are no alternating weeks. We will use the Week 1 schedule while we remain virtual. Your homeroom teacher will share the schedule. 6th-8th students will continue with their current schedule.
