"Topics in Japanese Culture: Approaches to Japanese Popular Culture" This multimedia course will explore a range of Japanese popular culture, including anime, manga, film, literature, and fashion. This course aims to deepen our knowledge and appreciation of Japan's cultural artifacts and how its popular culture has changed over time. Critical and theoretical readings will help us examine important facets of Japanese histo...ry, thought, and cultural identity and refine our understanding of its dynamic and expressive media.
