There's no question many are upset or afraid because of a job we may not be getting paid from... but my heart goes out to business owners. The people who employ most of us. Its nice that many have already received some extra cash in your bank account in the form of stimulus checks.Heres something everyone of us can do to help our local economy the most. If you don't need the money to pay bills and keep going, please don't blow it at some big mega store while our local retail...ers are forced to remain closed. Just give small businesses here at home a chance to open back up and earn your business. Think about it ... when was the last time you saw the mega whatever supporting our kids, families and economy locally. Chances are you didn't, but the ones who do are usually the local small business folks. They are also the ones that make up the biggest chunk of our income too. So please, spend your money and spend it wisely. All of us are affected and its going to take all of us to make it through. We can be a part of the problem or part of the solution. Now, get back three paces and don't breathe on me. I'm Dale Palmer, General Manager of the Best Broadcast Group, the local guys that own and operate this radio station and others right here at home and I approved this message. Political pun intended.

Winter Weather Won’t Go Away JEFFERSON CITY A winter weather system will enter the state Wednesday morning bringing a potential for a wintry mix of freezing rain, sleet, snow, and rain mixed with snow throughout the day and into Friday. This is a slow-moving front and will produce a variety of precipitation over the next three days. Travelers are urged to remain vigilant and keep informed of rapidly changing weather conditions. With the intermittent periods of liquid and fr...eezing precipitation throughout the day, motorists might become complacent about their safety and assume roads are only wet. Be advised that the transition from rain to ice may come quickly and without warning, creating hazardous road conditions in a matter of seconds. Use caution through the duration of this winter event and don’t drive distracted. Buckle Up Phone Down. Because of the complicated nature of this wintry mix, treating ahead of the storm may not be practical. Forecasted rain could wash salt and chemicals off road surfaces before they could be effective. Drivers should use extreme caution on Wednesday’s commutes as road conditions could deteriorate rapidly wherever freezing precipitation is falling. It only takes a little bit of ice to create slippery roads. If you are involved in a crash or slide-off, the safest thing to do is to stay inside your vehicle with your seat belt on. To check road conditions, go to MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org/map/. The map is also available as a free app for Apple and Android devices.
