Thunderstorms, Round 2...FIGHT! Nothing serious on radar, still a Flash Flood Watch our for Southwest and South Central Misery. Looking for about an inch of additional rain. 1. Be careful out there.... 2. Be VERY cautious in low lying areas. It takes only 6mph of 12 inch deep water to take your Land Yacht off the road. Just stop, dial us in, listen to some Blues and don't be in such a rush. ok? We like it when you're around to listen to news instead of BEING the news.

Back in '82 The California State Assembly consumer-protection-committee heard testimony from "experts" who claimed that when 'Stairway To Heaven' was played backward, contained the words: "I sing because I live with Satan. The Lord turns me off, there's no escaping it. Here's to my sweet Satan, whose power is Satan. He will give you 666. I live for Satan." Yeah, California. Who knew? https://youtu.be/QkF3oxziUI4

Today's Birthdays...including one special to radio folks. 1945 - John Wolters, drums, Dr Hook, (1972 UK No.2 and US No.5 single 'Sylvia's Mother'). 1952 - American musician Chuck Leavell who was a member of the The Allman Brothers Band during the height of their 1970s popularity. He is the longtime keyboardist and musical director with The Rolling Stones and Leavell has also toured and recorded with Eric Clapton, George Harrison, David Gilmour and John Mayer. ... 1978 - FM The movie FM, about a radio station with a motley collection of DJs was released in the US. Linda Ronstadt, Jimmy Buffett and REO Speedwagon all appeared in the film. The theme song from the movie Steely Dan's 'FM (No Static at All)' won engineers Al Schmitt and Roger Nichols the 1979 Grammy Award for Best Engineered Recording. FM radio hit it's heyday in the 70's, knocking AM out of the box (and we sure miss the big blowtorch Am stations). This film was much more realistic than the TV show about a fictional Cincinnati station...though not as glamorous as the film would have you believe. https://ultimateclassicrock.com/fm-movie/
