#KPMCPAs was happy to co-host a recent employee blood drive with our building neighbor, Milestone Engineering (Milestone)! The folks at Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) were awesome in the on-site Bloodmobile as they helped our 20+ individuals give blood to our friends and neighbors in need. Thank you to the donors from #TeamKPM, Milestone, and Rooney McBride & Smith, LLC (also building neighbors) for their contributions! If you are interested in giving blood, find out more on the CBCO website here: https://bit.ly/2Hhgbc8 #KPMCARES

#KPMSpeaks to school finance students at Missouri State University! With 20+ years of experience performing school district audits across Missouri, #KPMAudit Shareholder Jon Cummings has vast expertise on the subject. He was asked to speak to future school leaders about the importance of an independent audit (and the process) for school districts. Auditors also serve as a valuable resource! They help school finance officials understand the ever-evolving reporting requirements that are needed to remain in compliance for the government funds they receive. We hope the students understand the process better - and maybe realize that audits are not as scary as they may seem!

#KPMCPAs was happy to celebrate the Springfield Business Journal 'Most Influential Women' honorees during the recent virtual awards ceremony. You might not have heard #TeamKPM from our office but know that we are cheering you all on, including our client honoree, Lisa Farmer (Executive Director of Harmony House). Thank you to all 20 #SBJMIW honorees for your professional and civic contributions in our community! In fact, the honorees raised nearly $10,000 for local non-profit, Women In Need of the Ozarks; funds will go to help support working women in need. The #KPMTax team has done it again! Thanks to the dedication and hard work from #TeamKPM, another tax deadline has successfully come to an end (Forms 1120 and 1040 extension deadline). #KPMCPAs kindly gifted everyone an awesome movie-themed treat filled with an assortment of candies, popcorn, and Redbox gift codes to pick your own movie. What a fun way to celebrate even though we cannot be together! Socially distanced but culturally connected! #KPMCulture

Late summer/early fall means #KPMCPAs is on the links! We have been busy out and about supporting our clients through sponsoring and playing in their annual golf tournaments - something we can easily do while 6 ft. apart! This year has affected the ability of so many non-profits to hold their annual fundraising events, so we are glad when we can still safely participate and visit in person. Thanks to these organizations - Hartville R II School District Foundation, Ozark Trails Council, Boy Scouts of America, Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce, Ozarks Technical Community College Foundation, East Central College Foundation, @St. Louis Community College Alumni & Friends, Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce , and Ozarks Counseling Center. We hope your tournaments were a great success! #KPMSponsored

In October, our #ClientsWithACause program supports the Ozarks Regional YMCA (the Y) and their eight locations across the Ozarks. The Y is a cause-driven non-profit organization offering programs focused on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Youth development programs include sports, swimming, and child care. Healthy living is promoted through fitness classes for all ages, adult sports, personal training, and active older adults. Social responsibility is offered through community resources, family activities, stress management resources, and more. Help them continue to serve the Ozarks and donate to their Impact Campaign! The Victim Center is a wonderful client and non-profit, and we are always happy to support their events! For this year's #WineWomenAndShoes they brought the party to us as we tuned in and enjoyed all the goodies they brought. There was wine (of course), delicious snacks, photo props, gift bags, and dessert! While we could not get together in person, they did a fabulous job making the event special for viewers! #KPMSponsored #KPMCARES #WWSSpringfield2020
