Thanks to Brookfield License Office for their donation of several office chairs and other items! Many have asked how they might get involved. There are many o...pportunities to volunteer! BEFORE THE MISSION & THRIFT STORE OPEN WORKDAYS: We have scheduled workdays for Saturdays - 17 & 24 April 2021. But we will gladly due our utmost to accommodate volunteers and organizations based upon your availability! IMMEDIATE NEEDS LIST (Items to outfit and operate the facility) RETAIL SHELVING OFFICE FURNISHINGS: desks, credenzas, bulletin boards, etc. NSF STAINLESS STEEL FOOD SERVICE GEAR: Food service & prep tables, shelving, 3-compartment sink, convection oven, BUILDING MATERIALS: 40 gallons of paint, 10 sheets drywall, (also mud & tape), electrical wire & conduit, commercial vinyl tile or linoleum, 16 sheets FRP board w/trim. SITTING AREA FURNITURE: We will be ready approximately 22 April to place such items. DRY FOOD STUFFS: We have space to store quite a bit of dry goods. HELP! TIME & TALENTS: The work is great and the laborers are few. Before opening we need painters, plumbers, carpenters, electricians, floor tilers, sorters, stockers, and will have many other opportunities to serve God and our neighbors! Any help that MILC congregants can volunteer is most greatly appreciated! NETWORKING! Get the word out! We need contacts and opportunities to speak to various congregations and civic groups to garner community support. Cash donations are also helpful and greatly appreciated.
