Last year, we worked with the City of St. Joseph, MO Government on a long-awaited project to transport a portion of the stormwater runoff from the Blacksnake Creek watershed directly into the Missouri River. We replaced the old system, a 100-year old pipe known as the Blacksnake Creek Combined Sewer. The new, separated system helps reduce treatment and maintenance costs for the city as well as protects public health and improves water quality for St. Joe residents. As spring rains arrive, we want to highlight our work on Kansas City's Levees Project to assist with the replacement/modification of pump stations in the Argentine Levee area. Improving the levees and floodwalls along the Kansas River is an investment made regionally involving the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City KS, City of Kansas City, Mo. Government, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Headquarters. #KissicProud

The Blue Hills Neighborhood Association broke ground last Friday on a pocket park dedicated to Jim Kissick, co-founder and President of Kissick Construction before his passing in 2018. Jim loved giving back to this great city, and especially in ways that allow people to enjoy the great outdoors. The new Blue Hills - Kissick Park will be located on 57th between Euclid St. and Michigan Ave. in the Blue Hills area of southeast Kansas City. We are pleased to announce the establishment of an endowment with the Metropolitan Community College Foundation for a memorial scholarship in memory of Donna Clark who was a valued member of the Kissick Accounting Department for nearly 20 years. The scholarship will produce an annual income in perpetuity for eligible MCC students and be given to women who are pursuing construction or accounting degrees.
