On Saturday May 4 at Lions’ Amphitheater, The Ross Bell Band, Rosewood, and Serapis entertained the crowd with 3 hours of highly polished music and showmanship. As an exclamation point to cap off the evening and to the delight of the crowd, members of all three bands joined forces on stage to present a stirring rendition of the popular hit Wagon Wheel. Photographer Vic Lewchenko captured the ensemble at the conclusion of their finale. Vic’s entire photo album of the evening may be viewed at https://www.flickr.com/gp/vics_photos/09oP8h The next concert takes place on Saturday June 15, when crowd favorites and international touring artists The Bel Airs bring their unique brand of rockin’ rhythm and blues back to the Amphitheater from their home base in Columbia, MO.

The Kirkwood arts scene has lost one of its best friends and biggest supporters... Tom Roberts. Together, with his wife Judy, he founded the AIM Community Band to support the music arts at KHS. He was also one of the guiding lights behind the Kirkwood Arts Commission and Kirkwood Arts Foundation. His memorial service is at First Pres. tomorrow...
