Congratulations!! Today Destry Young took the oath of enlistment for the Missouri Army National Guard. Upon completing training for Military Police, Young plans to continue her education at University of Central Missouri and become a member of their ROTC. Over six years ago I raised my right hand in that same room with Destry’s father, Sergeant First Class Bradley Young (ret.), as my recruiter. Because of him, my military career began and I consider it a privilege to be a part of the beginning of hers. Destry, you were already a part of the National Guard family, but now you will earn the title of Soldier. I look forward to serving with you and seeing you advance throughout your military career!
