King's Buffet 04.11.2020

King’s Buffet is officially open! Our hours are 11:00am-9:00pm, Monday through Sunday. After speaking with our local health department, we have decided the best way is to keep dine-in temporarily closed. We will be doing menu take-out which can be pre-ordered at https://www.kingsbuffetkirksville.com/#menu, buffet to-go from the hot bar, and sushi to-go from the cold bar. To maintain safety precautions, we will be enforcing a 6 ft social distance between customers as well as ...providing sanitizing/protective equipment to fill to-go boxes among other regulations. If you have any questions or would like to call in for an order, call us at 660-665-6622 during our business hours or send us a message on Facebook. If interested in no-contact/curbside drop-off at King’s Buffet, please let us know over the phone. Every customer who walked through the door have become friends and family to many of us throughout the years. Keeping them safe is our priority! Thank you for your continued support!

Due to the increasing severity of the Covid-19 spread, we have made the decision to temporality close King’s Buffet starting March 18th, 2020 until further notice. We feel it is part of our responsibility to prioritize the health and safety of our community and staff to take preventatives steps and encourage social distancing at this time. We are all in this together so its all of our responsibility to do our part. We are hopeful that we may be able to reopen to offer limited... take-out and delivery service, but we’ll need time to make arrangements and monitor the news and other future community directives. King’s Buffet would like to address the recent incident our guests experienced on May 11, 2019, in the context of the cleanliness of our restaurant. We accept full responsibility and we should have handled it in a more professional manner. Once our managers received news about the situation, we contacted the individual who made the Facebook post and have resolved the issue. In order to take action, we personally contacted the health department and a pest solutions company th...e day after for an official investigation to screen for any safety violation. No bugs were found in the restaurant or in the food but nonetheless, we performed a preventative treatment anyway. We hope to move forward and be more diligent in our food preparation process as well as inform our employees on how to better handle situations like these in the future. Our food is delivered fresh on a weekly basis and we pride ourselves on the quality of our dishes. We have contacted our food vendor, thrown away all the possibly contaminated food where it may have originated from, and immediately restocked new produce Please know that we care immensely about our guests’ health and wellness. We hope that the public will give us a fair judgment and be understanding that mistakes happen. Thank you to the family this incident has directly affected for being so understanding of the situation and to our family and friends who have supported us.
