The homework content has been designed to encourage thoughtful examination of the text as you read through the five chapters of James each week. KEARNEY FIRST WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY!! WE ARE BACK!! Kearney First Baptist Women’s Bible Study Team is committed to equip & encourage women to grow in their knowledge of the scriptures regardless of whether you have been a Christian for decades or you are a new believer desiring to better know and understand the God of the Bible. Our greatest desire and efforts will be to make every study go beyond the phrase spending time in the Word. The phrase is vague and varies among eac...h person. As a believer we want our time in the Word to move us toward Biblical literacy. We want it to be more than scripture quotes; instead learning what the Bible says and then working to interpret and apply it. Bible literacy protects us from falling prey to false teaching and the challenges of the worldview. It has been said that we become what we behold. I believe there is nothing more transformative to our lives than beholding God in His Word. After all, how can we conform to the image of a God we have not beheld? -Jen Wilkin, speaker, writer, and teacher of women’s Bible studies We are currently equipping and praying for our facilitators and praying more women will step into this role. Our Bible Study options will allow for multiple in-person and online studies via Zoom. We are prepared for a huge number of women joining in these Bible Study opportunities and will follow all necessary Covid-19 social distancing guidelines.
