Spring is in the air and this is the last week to purchase tickets for this awesome basket valued at $900! Drawing will be held on Friday, March 26th! Tickets are $10, and you can contact any United Way board member (listed in the comments) to get yours. The proceeds help support local organizations that make a difference in our community!

This week’s spotlight is (PIN) Pemiscot County Initiative Network’s Backpack Program.... Backpack for Fridays provides backpacks with nutritious meals to children in need at Delta C-7, Cooter, and R-3 school districts. Its time to apply for Kennett United Way Funding for the 2020-2021 campaign. If you would like to apply call 888-5828 or email Melissa Combs [email protected] or pick up forms at the Kennett Chamber Office. The application dead line is August 10, 2020 send to United Way PO Box 61 Kennett, MO 63857. Any application received after deadline will not be accepted. Submitting an application is not a guarantee for funding. The United Way Board of Directors will review all submitted applications. Please note on the application to be eligible for funding, you must have a designated representative from your agency or organization who will actively serve on United Way Board.

We would like to thank everyone who braved the rainy weather to show up at Kennett Palace Theater to watch Singing in the Rain on the big screen. This was the second year for this fundraiser, and we are so appreciative of the Senath Lions Club and the Kennett Lions Club for sponsoring the event! Both the Senath United Fund and Kennett United Way benefitted and we will be able to continue to provide assistance in our communities.
It has been raining for 36 hours and is expected to continue for another 24 hours. Tonight would be the perfect time to see Singin’ In The Rain compliments of the Kennett and Senath Lions Clubs. We’ll see you at the Palace at 7 p.m.

The application process is open for agencies wishing to apply for Kennett United Way funds. Applications are available at the Dunklin County Caring Council, 311 Kennett St. and are due at the DCCC office or the Kennett Chamber of Commerce Office, no later than August 21 at noon.
