I am so beyond myself with this one. Not only has @kaytork put in countless hours at the gym but she has taken it upon herself to commit to the soul work that is required to grow physically, spiritually and mentally. - Kari came to me about 3 months ago when she was in a dark place. Even though we still have work to do, her progress thus far should not go unrecognized. ... - The physical aspects that Kari has achieved are a side effect of the emotional soul growth that she diligently and continuously works on. - We are doing the hard shit. She has faced negative emotions head on instead of dismissing and creating blockages from her growth. - Health, for Kari is a matter of the heart and self discovery. Her willingness to go through the dark shit allows her to stand on her own and handle any experiences put in front of her openly and honestly. - The non physical aspects of training can be a trying and tedious process. The body needs care and rest but behind every physical aspect is the care of internal energy. - Are you showing up for yourself? You CAN build strength and reach the physique you desire - Saying I don’t want to lift heavy because I don’t want to get bulky sounds to me like saying I don’t want to do the hard work - You have to do the work-... Nutrition takes work Your routine takes work Being consistent takes work It requires you to harmonize both to reach the results you desire = But it DOESN’T HAVE TO SUCK Let’s be real, you’re doing the work any way and maybe you’re seeing the results you want- but maybe not. Maybe you’re spinning your wheels. Maybe you could be valuing your time more efficiently. - At the end of the day you have to adopt the routine that you enjoy. If you love doing cardio and you’re happy with that, great! If you’re not happy with the results you are lacking, maybe you need to try another way. First day of my stability block today. Skwats felt gooood. 8 weeks from today I’ll be competing so now it’s go time. No more dicking around and I’m excited to see some numbers go up. Highest set was 145 + 88lbs in chains. Sometimes you need to take a couple steps back in order to move forward. Tagged along with @sylvasaurusflex today to @impactgymskc and can I just say that I was instantly out of my comfort zone. Sometimes we need to get comfortable being uncomfortable. The men and women on this pl team are seriously so strong and so wise obviously they know what they are doing. It's easy to be confident and often complacent with our own training. I had to set my ego aside, along with the weig...ht and correct a few minor details in order to set myself up for greater future success. I want to be the best that I can be. It would be easy to quit and stay where I am at and never go back to improve myself, but what would that get me? Nothing. I'm not a quitter.
