#womansupportwoman I’m excited and a bit delayed (#life) to announce that I’ve joined the #wanderlusthairartstudio tribe! I’ve longed for a while to be surrounded with strong capable and supportive professional women around me. I’m so lucky to not have to relocate to find this , they came and ignited the salon formally known as the white rhino salon to life and vitality . I’m beyond blessed to have 12 women enter and accept me into their salon family . Y’all Wanderlust Hair Art Studio truly emulates how professional Women Support Women! #2020 #latergram #maskup #newbeginnings #tribe #thankful #breathoffreshair #joplinmo #kellyaustinhair #happy #buildinganempire

Sometimes as a stylist we get caught in the monotony of blonde, brown , red , and repeat .. this week I had the luxury of stepping out of the normal haircolor space ! This hand painted rainbow color pallet was such a bright and refreshing change of pace !! Thanks @kaci.culp.5 for trusting me with your vision !! My artist heart thoroughly enjoyed every minute !! #rainbowhair #pulpriot #vivids #hairstylist #creativecolor #handpainted #joplinmo #kellyaustinhair #inspiration #somethingdifferent #covidhaircut

Hairstylists & Barbers are not in competition with each other. We actually help one another often. Right now, a Stylist and Salon needs our support. Earli...er this week, it was announced by Greene County Health Department, that a Stylist worked while symptomatic for 8 days before being tested positive for Covid-19. They announced the businesses name which was unusual. They contacted all 84 clients who had been in contact with the Stylist as well as the other employees. They announced another stylist tested positive. All of this was technically correct. There was more to the story that needs to be told. The Stylist did the right thing. She had traveled in Mo and after arriving home, she felt sick and went to Urgent Care on May 12th (the 1st day the salon was open.) She was diagnosed by a doctor as having allergies and even sent home with paperwork to be cleared for work. She did the right thing. She, her coworkers and all of the clients wore masks. The Salon kept contact records of each client. They took staff temperatures and recorded them for each day. The salon did the right thing. As a result of this press conference and media coverage, the Salon, the Owners and the Stylist are being harassed and lives are being threatened. Releasing half of the truth is dangerous and has repercussions. Please join us in helping to clear the air and take an unfair target off of their backs. We support Great Clips and all that they are doing in keeping our community as safe as possible during this time. Springfield, do the right thing and speak the whole truth when discussing this event in our community.
