Spent some time at the Kansas City Zoo yesterday and was able to get a few shots that I liked. I wanted to get a shot of the baby Gibbon, but momma and baby weren’t out in the open (she was relaxing at the top of the enclosure. I’ll have to try again. I was able to get a few shots of the Cotton-too Tamarin and one of the little ones! I also took the chance to take a few other animals.

Had a great day at the zoo on Saturday! A few of us from the club met up at the Cheetah Enrichment. The animals were enjoying a beautiful day out.

Due to ongoing weather issues from last weekend and more predicted for this weekend, we are canceling the January meeting. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Save those holiday contest photos for the February meeting. At that time we'll have both Jan & Feb contests. February's subject is Winter, so I hope everyone can participate! Hope everyone stays safe and doesn't experience too many weather related problems. See you all in February. Thanks, Carla

On Feb 2, 2018, the Kansas City Zoo welcomed a new addition...a baby giraffe, who was named Dixie. Dixie is out on exhibit and enjoying the beautiful weather!
