Greetings Companions and Sir Knights, I am writing to you regarding Martha Heilig, Joe Heilig's wife. Martha as most know has been on dialysis for some time due to the loss of kidney function. It is with profound sadness that I announce she lost the fight this morning at approximately 9:45 a.m.... We ask that you keep Joe and his family in your thoughts and prayers as they work their way through this solemn time. Though we are assured she retires to that Temple not made with hands, together with Joe and his family we still feel a great void and sadness for the loss of a loved one they now endure. There are no arrangements currently. Never-the-less, the moment that we are made aware I willl pass the information along to you. -- Respectfully, Aaron E. Rose Secretary / Recorder KCMT York Rite Bodies

We would like to thank the Companions and Sir Knights of the Independence York Rite Bodies for conferring well executed and inspiring degrees this week end. Congratulations to Daniel Symes, Sean Magee, Timothy Nance, Steve Bright, and Mitchel Carter (of Eastgate)!
Companions and Sir Knights, Just a reminder that tonight starts the York Rite Festival at Independence Lodge located at 120 South Pleasant St, Independence, MO. We have 4 Candidates going through this weekend and we are asking all Companions and Sir Knights to come out and support them. ... And as if that is not enough incentive we are breaking out Shekinah Council no. 24's original Bible, yes the one Truman took his obligations on, over to the Festival for the Council degrees. Brother, Companion, and Sir Knight Truman started his travel in the York Rite on November 11, 1919 at the age of 35. Almost 100 Years ago. It has been a long time since the Bible has made a public showing. This will be an auspicious event. There will also be a little special surprise item showing for all Kansas City Masonic Temple members that make an appearance. We hope to see everyone there.
Nicely said, perhaps we can use this as an example.
Please remember that we will be holding elections next week on 6/17/15. Meeting starts promptly at 7 pm. We have to open in all three bodies so don't be late.
So, have you ever wondered why Christ said, "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me." on the cross? A friend pointed out reading Psalms 22 will provide great insight into this. I hope that everyone had a happy and blessed Easter. Please remember that keeping Christ first should be a daily event not twice a year. Happy UnEaster and look forward to seeing everyone.
Remember that we have a meeting tonight starting promptly at 7pm on the 3rd floor. Please be in uniform and we will drill after the short meeting.
