The 2017 kite flying season starts this Saturday from 10-5 at the MC Longview annual Flights of Fancy Kite Festival. This one of a kind event attracts 35,000 people from all over the region. Today we wanted to send our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of the wonderful Jill Ladas. JIll passed away this week but her spirit lives on through the amazing work she did helping drive one of Americas best kite festivals "Flights of Fancy" here in Kansas City. Jill was one of those rare special souls who made a difference while here on earth and we are honored to call her a dear friend. Rest in peace forever Jill.
