Building exhibits at the Musuem. This is the old Watch Office. As you walk through the musuem, this area will be the entry. It will house our oldest artifacts and photos. The musuem is set up as you proceed upstairs you will journey from 1868 to modern day.

Hey all. The musuem has a few board positions open. We ask for small time commitment. Maybe 2-3 hours week on projects, and a once a month board meeting. We especially need someone to help with social media and communications. We also need help with work on our building on maintenance and building exhibits. Of course any mechanics are welcome. We will also need help in the future with manning the musuem when it’s open. We are asking for active or retired first responders only. Contact Paul Ferguson if interested. 8168852086, thanks for your interest.

With Halloween in mind. I’ve heard a story that the current Fire Musuem is haunted. Does anyone have any stories about it being haunted? I’ll post the one I’ve heard tonight or tomorrow.

Hey all. I have some questions about this magazine. So, it looks like it was published by our union. Is that correct? Are their still records at the Hall? ... I would be very interested in some of the photos. The musuem is trying to compile a complete collection. Do you have issues at home . We have a partial collection, but don’t really know when it started or ended. If you have copies, please contact Paul Ferguson at 8168852086 if you are willing to donate. Thanks, Paul Ferguson See more

Another great day for the Musuem. Thanks to T10 B shift. Especially Russ Hombs and Aaron Schmidt. They came across this gem. Then gave it to the musuem. Has a date of 1972. Who knows something about the KCFD Water Squad? Also, anyone know who Phil H could be? Cool stuff...

This week we purchased a 1984 American Lafrance Century Series Interstate pumper from an Individual in Arkansas. It served as KCFD Pumper 32. It looks to be in pretty good shape and we have big plans for it. Stay tuned. It is safely back in KC. It’s your support that enabled us to return this rig home. We are excited to get started on restoring this rig!

It was not our musuem that was robbed. The musuem was the Kansas State Firefighters Musuem in Kansas. I would ask that everyone watch out for artifacts being sold on the internet.
