MODEL CASTING NEWS FOR SEPTEMBER 2020 KCFW! As you all know, due to the current Stay-At-Home orders due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kansas City Fashion Week has ...moved all March 2020 previously scheduled runway content to September 12th-19th, 2020. Because of this new situation that we are currently in, we will be doing model castings a bit different this season. ONLINE! - All models who made the March 2020 model roster will continue to be on the model roster for September 2020, and will not need to audition again for the September 2020 show. After online castings close on May 1st, we will be sending a separate application to all current roster models to update their date availability and any info that might have changed since castings in December 2019. - If models were scheduled to walk for a particular designer in March, you will still be booked for that designer, unless scheduling becomes an issue due to their show date change. KCFW will be working with each designer and their booked models over the next few months to help alleviate these issues as best as possible. The designer's new runway show dates will not be decided until mid-May. - If you auditioned last season (December 2019) and did not make the roster, you will need to submit new online materials for model roster consideration. With that said, we are now accepting additional designers to show collections in the September shows, therefore we are opening model castings up online for any model who would like to audition to be added to the F/W 2020 model roster being used for the September 2020 runway shows. Kansas City Fashion Council, Inc. will once again be hosting model workshops for the upcoming Kansas City Fashion Week, LLC model castings! Join us for one of our runway workshops taught by our Director of Model Development and founder of The Model Board, Noelle Manica. Model mentors include, Darci Clark, Marajan Tutu, and Max MacDonald. These workshops will be held this Saturday, November 16th at Oak Park Mall.... This is a free education and networking event hosted by KCFC. Our Executive Director spent the morning at the Johnson County Community College Fashion Design & Merchandising Awards Breakfast with Kansas City Fashion Week, LLC CEO, Phil Willoughby. Phil spoke to students reminding them never to doubt the importance of education in the design industry. The KCFC Scholarship was awarded to Markus Palu! Good luck to you next year Markus! They caught up with last year’s scholarship recipient, Elise, who is celebrating a remarkable year and graduating next week!

Kansas City Fashion Council is hosting Kansas City Fashion Week, LLC model workshop on May 18th at Oak Park Mall! This workshop will prepare models for Kansas City Fashion Week’s upcoming model castings. KCFC's Director of Model Development, Noelle Manica, will be working one-on-one with models to coach on runway techniques. Space is limited.
