Hello from Beans! Beans is a 7 month old guy who would love a forever home! He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. He would like to be the only cat in the house, and while he may be scared at first, he's quite the lover once he gets to know you! Could you or someone you know give Beans a good home? Please contact the clinic at (816) 361-4888 if you're interested in adding this sweet boy to your life!

Hi everyone! Mr. Tuna, here. My person is one of the nurses at the KC Cat Clinic, and I am honored to be newest member of the KC Cat spokescat team! This first photo is my more regal headshot showing me lost in deep thought. The second is a more candid photo of me thinking about yummy Thanksgiving dinner. Mmmmmmm... wait why was I making this post? Oh yeah!... I’m supposed to update everyone that the clinic will be closed tomorrow Thursday, November 26 for the Thanksgiving holiday. In case of emergency please contact Blue Pearl of Overland Park (913-642-9563) or Mission Veterinary Emergency and Specialty (913-722-5566). We will resume our normal business hours starting Friday, November 27 at 8 AM. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Hello again from the KC Cat Clinic. We just want to reach out and thank you all for your patience until we open again on Monday November 23, 2020. Additionally, with the surge of COVID-19 infections in our region (and in the country), we feel its important to post an update on what we have learned so far about COVID-19 in cats and dogs and precautions that we recommend, should you become ill with COVID 19. This is not scare you by any means, as reports of pets contracting COV...ID-19 from their owners are still VERY RARE, but its still good for all to be armed with information. These recommendations are taken directly from the World Small Animal Veterinary Association, AVMA and CDC recommendations on COVID-19 in pets and we will post links to those sites below as well. -Keep your companion animals with you if you self-quarantine -Animal owners without symptoms of COVID-19 should continue to practice good hygiene during interactions with animals. This includes washing hands before and after such interactions and when handling animal food, waste, or supplies. -Do not let pets interact with people or other animals outside the household. -Keep cats indoors, when possible, to prevent them from interacting with other animals or people. -Walk dogs on a leash, maintaining at least 6 feet from other people and animals. Avoid dog parks or public places where a large number of people and dogs gather. -Until more is known about the virus, those ill with COVID-19 should restrict contact with pets and other animals, just as you would restrict your contact with other people. Have another member of your household or business take care of feeding and otherwise caring for any animals, including pets. Arrange for the care of any animals left at home with family or friends should you be hospitalized -At this point in time, there is no evidence to suggest that domestic animals, including pets and livestock, that may be incidentally infected by humans play a substantive role in the spread of COVID-19. -Human outbreaks are driven by person-to-person transmission and, based on the limited information available to date, the risk of animals spreading COVID-19 to people is considered to be low. Accordingly, we see no reason to remove pets from homes even if COVID-19 has been identified in members of the household, unless there is risk that the pet itself is not able to be cared for appropriately. -Contact you veterinarian immediately if you have questions or concerns about your pet and COVID. Hi everyone! It’s Mamacita from the KC Cat Clinic. I apologize as during our temporary closure our voicemail box became full for a couple hours this afternoon so you may have gotten a weird non-specific outgoing message if you called us. I put Snuffs in charge of checking our messages but as you can see he’s clearly busy doing other things. But don’t worry, I fixed it and our voicemail should be back up now! So sorry for the confusion, and again email may still be the best way to reach us until November 20 [Now moved to November 23]. We all thank you so much again for your patience!

VIN created this wonderful short video about why we're so dang busy! Thank you all so much for your patience and your kindness in this trying time!

Believe it or not, we at the KC Cat Clinic love dogs too! Dr. Hodes and her husband recently welcomed the newest addition to their four legged family, Evie, a 4 year old terrier mix. Here she is relaxing with Adaptil collar and her newest buddy, Toby the cat!

These days we have to take comfort in the small things during this new normal. Here’s a video of one of our favorite kitty patients, Jurgen, taking a stroll with his owner and getting some environmental enrichment while both are still staying safe. We love it! We know stroller rides are not for every cat, but for this kiddo, it works out great. Keep up the great work, Jurgen and fam!

Hey everyone, it's Mama! Every year, my humans de-clutter and deep clean the clinic. I help in a managerial way. This year, they're taking advantage of the Labor Day holiday, and the clinic will be closed this Friday! If you need food or meds, please give the humans a call and they'll make sure you're stocked up before the long weekend.

KC Cat Clinic 11.10.2020

Hello again, Mama here. I'm a literate lady, and I like to have a little newspaper in my litter pan to read. We're unfortunately low on good newspaper! If you have some piling up at home, we'd love to take it off your hands!Stop by anytime and call the humans from the parking lot, and they'll tell you where to set the paper!

Mamacita was trying to conduct a serious interview with Dr. Hodes when she was rudely interrupted...

KC Cat Clinic 22.08.2020

Hey everyone, it's Mama again! The humans have been working hard, or at least that's their excuse for not petting me as much as I'd like! They wanted me to tell you all that we're booking out about a month in advance, and we don't see that changing! So if you need to get your kitties updated on shots, or just an exam, give us a call soon to get on the books. If you're an existing client with a more dire need, please give us a call and we'll see if we can fit you in, or we can at least help you decide whether to wait or to go to the ER! Once again, I ask that you tell the humans to give me more treats and snuggles. xoxo- Mama

This is Hamza! He needs to find a loving home. He's neutered and up to date on shots. He hasn't been around other animals so we're not sure how he does with them. If you'd like to set up a meeting with the sweet boy, call the clinic at (816) 361-4888 and ask to leave a message for Beth!
