Happy Easter from my Family to yours I hope that everyones holiday is filled with candy coated eggs, colorful jelly belly's, fluffy little peeps, and those delicious chocolate covered bunnies that we all love so much. Keeping family traditions alive is something I hold near a dear, so of course I woke up early this morning to make some "bunny ear" cinnamon rolls for the children to wake up smelling. My mom growing up would always make cinnamon rolls for breakfast on holida...ys. Every time I smell them cooking it takes me back to when I was a kid. It warms my heart knowing my children will look back some day feeling those same warm and fuzzies that I do. Yet another beautiful balayage in my new salon home. Gordana came in wanting to go back to blonde after just coloring her hair brown. Her previous stylist didn’t fill her hair with the correct colors, so after just a few washes her color was hallo and her blonde was showing though in places. We decided to balayage her ends and foil up to her roots to brighten her up all over. She showed pictures of a gorgeous golden beige blonde and we were able to get her SO close! ... I feel like these silver and grays are so popular these days, people wanting that silver platinum look and others wanting to speed up the process and go gray now. Things you don't know or realize though is that if you are not 100% white gray, then you will still be fighting a grow out of your natural gray (salt and pepper), and any other natural pigment you may have left. Every case is different though and there are more graceful ways we can take you gray. This lovely was a g...rown-out all over blonde and came in needing her roots touched up and wanted to tone adjust her blonde to gray. This is probably the "easiest" way to do it, with previously lightened hair. Please know that if you have been coloring your hair for years to cover those stubborn grays, the process is going to be must longer and your hair might not be too happy afterwards. You must strip any and all pigment from the hair and have a Neutral base to even think about toning silver/gray. Im only slightly obsessed with this silver toned Balayage! This is one of my amazing clients for Oregon who came to me with virgin hair our first appointment. Over the past year we have slowly added more and more blonde into her gorgeously long hair. Our last appointment together she came to me asking about the possibilities of silver or grey. We chatted a bit about the difference between them and how close we could get her to some of the Pinterest pics she had saved.... Creating this look took almost 4 hours but it was so worth the wait. Dawn came in looking to go back to the dark side. She hadn't been into the salon in months and had about 4/5 inches of grow out with some patchy dark ends. She showed me a picture of the color she wanted and we discussed how she didn't want it to fade warm if possible. So I went and mixed in a little extra blue to neutralize any warmth and we dove in!
