Update on Karen House! We've begun to transition our building to City Hope St. Louis. Our guests are welcome to stay on, and we are figuring out lots of details right now!

Hooray! A former guest is having a baby next week! She's looking for help with diapers, wipes, clothes, and a changing table! DM us if you'd like to contribute, and thanks in advance!

Alternatives to Policing: Unarmed Civilian Protection (UCP) and Accompaniment Heather Payne and Antonin Python have extensive experience as UCP practitioners in South Sudan with Nonviolent Peaceforce, as well as in the United States where they most recently have been providing UCP Accompaniment for Cori Bush during her congressional campaign. Please join us on August 26th from 4-5pm for a 1-hour online session on UCP, its capacity for reducing violence and the possibilities for growing UCP work in the St. Louis area. Sheila, one of our community members, would love to be able to take kids out when she runs. Does anyone have a running Stroller, maybe unused in a St. Louis basement somewhere, they’d like to donate?

KH UPDATES! 1) Our open hours for giving away food and receiving donations: Tuesdays 6pm-9pm, Wednesdays and Sundays 9am-12pm 2) Outside of these hours, please EMAIL us to arrange a time (our phone staffing is low, so it's hard to reach us that way!) [email protected]... 3) Our strongest needs are: - Diapers: Size 2, 3, 4 - Cough Medicine (kid and adult) - Vitamin C - Food we can easily give away at the door (Easy open cans of soup and stew, individual packages of cookies, granola bars, chips, crackers, ramen)
