Former Lamborghini Design Boss Rejoins Hyundai Guess who's back. Back in April, we were surprised to learn that former Lamborghini designer Luc Donckerwolke had left Hyundai Motor Group for "personal reasons." Donckerwolke joined Hyundai Motor Group in 2016 as design chief of the Genesis luxury brand before overseeing the designs of Hyundai Motor Group's three car brands as Chief Design Officer.... Under his leadership, Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis have produced some stunning new models, from the new, radically re-styled Hyundai Sonata and Palisade to the Genesis GV80, the luxury brand's first-ever SUV. He also has an impressive car design portfolio outside of Hyundai, having designed the Lamborghini Murcielago.

Hyundai Wants To Smash The Toyota Land Cruiser's Legacy Fortune favors the bold. Hyundai is no stranger to taking some big chances and unlike other automakers, those risks have typically paid off. For example, Hyundai invested heavily in design beginning about a decade ago and has since become an industry design powerhouse. The results speak for themselves.... The South Korean automaker is also heavily involved in motorsport and performance in general. A few years ago it successfully hired away Dr. Albert Biermann, who previously served as head of BMW's M division for years. He's now head of R&D at Hyundai. But there's still another frontier Hyundai wants to conquer, off-roading. There are many benchmarks in this segment but Hyundai appears to be targeting the one and only Toyota Land Cruiser.

Hyundai Has Three New EVs In The Pipeline. And they will all look spectacular. Hyundai is on the cutting edge of the EV industry with its latest Kona pushing the boundaries of EV technology and alternatives such as the Sonata Hybrid bringing up the ecologically friendly rear end of its lineup. Hyundai, which plans to offer 11 different EV vehicles by 2025, is currently working on three EVs that are due to show their pretty faces in the next year.

2021 Hyundai Elantra The 2021 Hyundai Elantra arrives in November, boasting significant upgrades over the previous generation. All of the exterior sheet metal is new, and it looks bolder than ever. Inside, the Elantra packs a ton of available technology, including dual 10.25-inch screens with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Under the hood, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder produces 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque, going out to the front wheels via a con...tinuously variable transmission. Hyundai has just released pricing for the 2021 Elantra, and it comes in with a starting MSRP of $19,650 for the SE model. The mid-level SEL model starts at $20,900, and the top-of-the-line Limited costs $25,450. Hyundai also released pricing for the first-ever Elantra Hybrid, which costs between $23,550 to $28,100 and achieves 50 mpg combined. The sporty Elantra N Line model, which adds a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine sending 201 hp and 195 lb-ft torque out through a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Pricing starts at only $24,100, undercutting rivals like the Honda Civic Si ($25,000) and Volkswagen Jetta GLI ($26,345). (N Line model in the photos below)
