Thinking of all mothers today~ especially those behind bars and with children behind bars...
Tomorrow night, 7:45-8:00PM, Mill Creek park Fountain OR (only if it rains) steps of 4601 Main St. Community Christian- Quick Prayer action in support of SB680 to eliminate the lifetime ban on Food Stamps for Missourians with drug offenses. Isn't starving fellow citizens more offensive than anything related to a drug crime? If you think so, show up please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, the time is NOW! Today, look up your member of the Missouri House. www.house.mo.gov and ask him or her to fight for the passage of Senate Bill 680. This week, Senator Curls lead her bill successfully out of the Senate. Only 4 nays and 29 yeas indicates that this bill has enough bipartisan support to pass. SB680 will eliminate the lifetime food stamp ban on Missourians who have past convictions from drug related offenses. BAN THE BAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah! SB680 has been voted out of Senate! Off to the House... Senator S Kiki Curls has done a tremendous job of seeing this bill through... Please call or email your member of the Missouri House and ask them to help see through SB680 so rehabilitated Missourians can access food stamps post drug conviction.
Tonight, I am encouraging ALL my friends and MORE2 members to join Concerned Clergy in an important Get Out the Vote Rally and Press Conference. It is on the 63rd street side of the Kansas City School District Football Field. Clergy will be encouraging all residents to Get Out the Vote on our April 8th critically important school board election.
