Pro tip: We shampoo our scalp & condition our ends. When shampooing make sure you massage your scalp to really work the shampoo in. This will enhance the overall health of your scalp and hair by breaking down any build up of products & oils. PLUS a little massage will get the blood flowing which stimulates hair growth..., who doesn’t want that?! If you’re someone who gets oily within a day I challenge you to analyze the products you are using to figure out if they are the right fit for your hair type and lifestyle. Then try shampooing twice & really exfoliating your scalp. Follow with conditioning but focus on keeping it at the ends! As I get further into my career as a hair stylist I’m constantly looking for new ways to educate you guys for both of our benefit My platinum girls listen upWhen you wait longer than 8 weeks your regrowth is typically longer than 1 inch. This means that when we touch up the roots the 1/2 inch of dark roots closest to your scalp gets lighter FASTER due to the heat from your scalp, leaving the other half still at an orang...e or yellow stage. This creates an unwanted band of warmth. NO ONE WANTS THAT. While there are many ways to correct the band or keep it from happening... ultimately to maintain this kind of color it’s important to stay on time so we get an even clean lift. In the end, it costs you more money and time when I have to use more product to get the same end result. Okay real talk this transformation took 2 sessions at about 3 hours each. (Swipe to see how dark we still were after session one of breaking through at home color) I know it’s hard to find the time in your schedule for the salon as is.. I get it! But this is a LUXURY color plain and simple. Which means it’s a longer appointment, costs more, & requires more maintenance at home(leave in spray, purple shampoo, etc.) These breath taking inspo photos that you bring to your appoin...tments are almost always a luxury color. It’s those beautiful blended balayages or platinum babes who I promise you spent hours and hundred of dollars with their stylist If you want to be in and out and spend less than $100 every time then you have to understand this you can’t order a New York Strip if you only have the time & money for a Big Mac. If you’re on a budget that doesn’t mean you can’t have bomb hair! It just means we need to be strategic & realistic.
