Friend of my shared this and I thought it was a good share: I hired a plumber to help me restore an old farmhouse, and after he had just finished a rough first ...day on the job: a flat tire made him lose an hour of work, his electric drill quit and his ancient one ton truck refused to start. While I drove him home, he sat in stony silence. On arriving, he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked toward the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands. When opening the door he underwent an amazing transformation.. His face was wreathed in smiles and he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss. Afterward he walked me to the car. We passed the tree and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do earlier. 'Oh, that's my trouble tree,' he replied 'I know I can't help having troubles on the job, but one thing's for sure, those troubles don't belong in the house with my wife and the children.. So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home and ask God to take care of them. Then in the morning I pick them up again.' 'Funny thing is,' he smiled,' when I come out in the morning to pick 'em up, there aren't nearly as many as I remember hanging up the night before. THIS ONE IS WORTH SENDING ON. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance. We all need a Tree! See more

Announcement Time!! This may be fairly long but bear with me. Please read to the end. Vision Woodcraft was established back in 2008. The idea / plan was devel...oped back in college around 2002 when I studied business. The bug for entrepreneurship hit me like the books I was studying. After college I was offered a position to supervise for a large window manufacturer. This job taught me many things such as leading a team and the inner workings of a manufacturing environment. This company was forced to close the plant when the recession hit. I was left with a decision. I didn’t hesitate long to knock the dust off of the business plan for Vision Woodcraft and begin its implementation. For nearly 3 years I focused on the business . I learned along the way and built some amazing projects for clients. During this time I went from working from a garage at home to leasing a 1600 square foot shop. Mind you this was during the building recession. Also during this time my son was born and I was left with another life decision. I chose to fall back on my degree and work for a large cheese manufacturer for various reasons but still ran my business in any spare time I could muster. Two full time jobs is more than enough to handle so I scaled back the business. I was missing out on family more than anything. My wife and I in 2016 decided to move to Idaho to be closer to her family. This has been one of the best decisions we have made. I was able to acquire a large 40x40 shop and relished the opportunity it provided me. This past winter I finally had my shop equipment set up and began making dust. This past 7 months has been very busy woodworking along with working full time for another large cheese manufacturer as a manager. Again time stretched thin pondering which direction to go in life. With the overwhelming support of friends, clients but most importantly my family; I have made the decision to focus on my passion for woodworking again. I finalized this plan by providing notice to my employer so I can have more time with my family and focus on my family and myself. The entrepreneurship bug has been sparked again and I cannot be more exited for what the future holds. To those clients that have kept me so busy this year - Thank you To my family and friends who have and continue to support my ambitions - I am forever grateful. I ask only one thing from those of you that know me. Help me continue this momentum of 2019 by spreading Vision Woodcraft posts and perhaps this story to friends and family.
