Ash puzzle table... I know it's painted

The next chapter in the stairs saga! :-) I am making it much harder on myself by laying out each section so the spacing is exactly right rather than making a jig and cheating the last few. I also went with screws on each end and a nail in the top so they wont spin. Just nails would have been 6 million times faster but not nearly as strong. If someone breaks through these they had to work at it.

The stairs are in!!! Only 3 more newel posts, 20' of handrail, 100' of wainscoting and 4.5 bazillion railing balusters to go! Going to have everything wrapped up this weekend......... BUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! ... I don't think so. :-(

Latest pictures in the ongoing staircase saga. Another day or so and they should be able to use them again. The custom fluting on the newel posts look nice but they are a bugger! LOL!!!

Checked this off the honey-do list. A 2 month dry erase planner and a nice size cork board. Framed in natural ash.

Found more pictures of the demo. There was a fire in the house many years ago and if you look closely the bottom newel post is actually hundreds of tiny charcoal bricks holding hands. The previous owners scabbed over the damage with 1/4" underlayment... Painted the entire mess... and called it "FIXED" The upper post was not much better. That screams safety!

Finished up this barn door themed queen bed. I really like the white laquer finish especially in the drawers. May refinish the drawers under my bed now. They are so dark, it's like looking into a cave.

I have owned a card scraper for quite a while and use it quite often. I picked up a scraper handle at a local auction a few months back and finally got around to trying it out...OMG! I AM IN LOVE!!! Cut my sanding down DRAMATICALLY! #oldschool #woodworkers

This is DEFINITELY not what I had in mind when I built my wood kiln. Drying wood is all about slowly taking the water out. It's going to be fun cranking it all the way up and see what shakes loose. #dryfirewood

16" Crescent jointer... Tuned up and all the surface rust removed. The beam on the jointer had an 1 1/2" twist to it. Squared up almost to easy with this monster! #vintagemachinery #timesaver

Finally got a chance to get the 14" Dewalt radial arm saw tuned up and built into my bench. Gotta love a 14' straight edge!!! This thing cuts through 2"thick hard woods like its not there! I LOVE IT!!!... #vintagemachinery #dewalt #radialarmsaw
