It is with a sad heart that we post the passing of one of our studio leaders, Doug Boyd. Doug’s roots run strong and deep throughout the KC AEC community, from his time as the Missouri State Architect, to his leadership roles at HNTB, ACI-Boland and for the last 10-years at JUNK Architects. A proud K-State graduate, Doug was a true architect in every sense of the word. He was a friend to many and a strong mentor to the architects working with him. Doug, loved his family a...nd proudly displayed photos of his children and grandchildren on his desk, phone and laptop. Doug brought joy to many, with his sharp wit and laid-back style. His spirit will always be a part of the studio at JUNK Architects and he will be remembered throughout the KC architectural community. We look forward to celebrating Doug’s life with his family, friends and associates later this year.
