Junior Bowling Club of Greater St. Louis 13.01.2021

All day long we have been getting mixed messages on trying to answer your questions regarding Covid-19, especially about contact tracing. I just got off the phone with the National Office of the CDC, who informed me that we are not to give out any information regarding contact tracing. Families should call the Missouri Health Department to initiate contact tracing in this matter. The number to call is 1-573-751-6400. I believe they open at 8:30 am. We know this is frustrating, however, we hope you understand our position and the law we must follow.

We just got off the phone with a lawyer regarding what we are able to divulge concerning the bowler who came down with Covid. Here is what they told me. Due to HIPPAA laws, we are unable to discuss any details regarding the specifics of the bowler. We can't tell you anything more than a bowler that bowled on Saturday has been diagnosed with Covid. The recommendation from the lawyer was to urge all those with questions to contact their physician and follow their recommendations/suggestions.

We wanted to post this message again to try to make sure that everyone knows and understands the protocols we are putting place for this weekend. 1. Everyone must wear a mask when entering the building. Bowlers may take their mask off in the bowling area. 2. Everyone will go through a temperature screen when entering the building.... 3. On-coming squads will be held to the bar area until called to the lanes to begin bowling. 4. Please respect the center policy on NOT bringing in ANY food or drink.

We are getting a number of questions regarding the bowler with Covid. While we understand everyone's concern, we are in the process of trying to determine what we can divulge and what we can't. As soon as we have clarification, we will provide as much detail as possible.

We were notified this morning that a bowler who bowled A squad on Saturday has tested positive for Covid-19. All A squad bowlers could have come in contact with this bowler. We would suggest quarantining for 10 days to minimize risk.

This weekend we asking everyone who enters the center to wear a mask. Bowlers may take their mask off while in the bowling area. We would like all spectators to wear a mask at all times. Secondly, we are going to try to take everyone's temperature when entering the building. Please be patient as we are trying to put safety protocols in place. Secondly, we would very much appreciate not bringing ANY outside food or drink in to the center. Every center manager/owner that we have spoken with tells us that this is their number one aggravation. In these times, it is imperative that we purchase food/drink from the center.
